In 2022 Pori Biennale was no longer in Pori, a town in Western Finland, but relocated to the Helsinki suburb of Meri Rastila.

Pluto Biennale responds to this with a semi sci-fi story of disclassification. Celestial bodies, trans bodies, and 1990s solar system models are all dismantled and tried out in new configurations.

Pori Biennale 2022 - Visitors invited guests to Meri-Rastila and Kallahdenniemi. The exhibition explored the area's precious nature and distinctive architecture, taking visitors through the coastal landscapes and historical layers of eastern Helsinki. A programme of events, together with the artworks, highlighted different perspectives on the local environment and its politics.
